Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer

This role involves handling DevOps activities, including test, build, and release infrastructure for multiple projects. Maintaining robust cloud hosting container platforms for application environments is a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be a proponent of good software engineering standards and practices. They will review existing processes and make recommendations for improvements based on SDLC/ALM standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement in DevOps & Configuration Management capability to meet the needs of internal customer groups.
  • Define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
  • Lead large-scale implementation of platform and services from inception through to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for ongoing support of the platform.

Repeatable and consistent environments for applications will be ensured with containers, reducing overall cloud hosting costs. Rapid repeatable deployment patterns with Docker images, Helm charts will be established for zero-touch no outage deployments.

Container platform Lifecycle Management includes capacity planning, sizing of environments to run in a cost-effective manner, and expiry dates for project environments.

Collaboration with delivery teams is essential to achieve success through the adoption of Continuous Delivery and Dev-Ops practices and processes.
