With a strong commitment to innovation and education, CareFlight operates across Australia, with major base locations in the Northern Territory and New South Wales. Our team of specially trained doctors, nurses, paramedics, and aircrew use helicopters, turboprop aircraft, and aeromedical jets to provide critical support to over 8,500 patients each year.
The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior critical care doctor to join our team in Darwin. As a critical care doctor with CareFlight, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-level care to patients in remote and rural areas.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing critical care to patients in remote and rural areas
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Participating in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Completion of primary exams
- Minimum of five years' postgraduate experience in critical care
- High-level airway and resuscitation skills
- Experience in ICU, anaesthetics, emergency medicine, and paediatrics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
