Rise Employment Mentor
About the Role:We are expanding our Training program, a new initiative empowered by innovative partnerships. This program builds capabilities for people with disabilities in a work environment.
As an Employment Mentor, you will support individuals with disabilities to successfully undertake a training program that prepares them for award wage employment.
Our participants will have the opportunity to transition from the training program to open employment.
Key Responsibilities:- You will work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Facilitate the training of participants in transferable employment skills.
- Develop strong working relationships and become a mentor to individuals supported at work.
- Provide personal care, mealtime assistance, and behavioural management to ensure everyone feels fully supported.
- Deliver administration and reporting activities in line with standards.
A passion for working with people with disability or in the allied health sector is essential.
Energetic and creative individuals who think differently about assisting others to achieve employment goals are encouraged to apply.
We value proactive, forward-thinking individuals who take initiative to solve problems.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals, teams, and stakeholders. A high level of empathy and understanding is also required, particularly when working with individuals with complex needs.
