Cyber Security Architecture Practice Manager

About the Role

This leadership position requires an experienced security professional to lead a team of architects in designing and evolving the organisation's security architecture. The successful candidate will set strategic direction for the practice, ensuring governance and alignment between security practices, enterprise goals, and emerging threats.

The role involves managing and mentoring a high-performing team to foster a collaborative and learning-focused environment. Establishing and evolving security architecture practices aligned with enterprise goals, industry benchmarks, and governance frameworks is also a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will utilise AI and automation to enhance Secure@Design processes, ensure consistent quality, and track key performance indicators. They will partner with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex security challenges and influence strategic outcomes.

The Cyber Security Architecture Practice Manager will be responsible for aligning architecture with regulatory standards and threat intelligence, while planning workforce capability to meet future demands.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in security and technology leadership, including team management and consulting experience.
  • Proven success in leading security professionals in large, federated organisations, preferably in Financial Services.
  • Expertise in Information Security Risk Management, Strategy, and Program Delivery.
  • Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or a Master's/MBA in a related field.
  • Active involvement in professional cyber security communities.
  • Experience working with government, regulatory bodies, and security agencies.
  • Strategic mindset with insight into digital transformation and evolving security threats.
