Community Transport Officer

We are seeking a Community Transport Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide safe and reliable transportation services to non-emergency patients attending appointments.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time opportunity with a variety of shifts available.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • To provide safe and reliable transport services for eligible patients.
  • Assist patients in and out of vehicles, including wheelchair-capable transport.
  • Follow clinical care directions from senior team members.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch team for timely responses.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness, stock, and equipment.
  • Submit accurate patient care records and documentation.
  • Report any hazards or incidents and follow safety protocols.
  • Uphold our values and contribute to a positive team culture.
About You
  • You are a team player who can work towards common objectives, deadlines, and set KPIs.
  • Your caring and compassionate nature supports patients with empathy, care, and dignity.
  • You can work independently and within a team environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Current first aid certification and willingness to obtain advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy certification prior to employment.
  • Holding an unrestricted C-class driver's license and driving safely and reasonably.
  • A current WA working with children check and national police clearance prior to commencement date.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to deliver excellent patient-centric care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Vaccination as per government guidelines for healthcare workers.
  • Physically fit to provide patient transport services.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Previous experience in disability, aged care, or patient transport services is highly regarded but not essential.
