Key Responsibilities

The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for the removal, fitting and repair of tyres, rims and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment.

Additionally, they will conduct regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures as necessary, and report their findings to the supervisor.

The role requires sourcing technical information from manuals, bulletins and computer systems.

Proactive measures must be taken to prevent equipment non-conformance and quality issues must be addressed.

Adherence to site procedures is essential, with solutions provided through designated channels.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology (AUR21920 or AUR21916) and have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Tyre Fitter.

Experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving or hydraulic excavator industry is preferred.

A HR driver's license is also desirable.

Other requirements include a Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 certification.

Strong time management, problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Candidates must also be able to perform intensive manual labour outside.
