We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Engineer to support a maritime construction and manufacturing project in South Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the maritime build program through supplier technical reviews and quality assessments.

Key responsibilities include reviewing engineering design requirements for naval applications, understanding shipbuilding codes and technical specifications, identifying potential suppliers, conducting pre-qualification reviews of manufacturers and suppliers, participating in on-site supplier assessments, comparing international standards, and understanding and evaluating Objective Quality Evidence.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, eligibility for Engineers Australia membership, knowledge of systems and technologies relevant to Australian shipbuilding, strong commercial acumen, ability to prioritize and set work standards, excellent communication skills, and experience in the Defence shipbuilding industry.

  • Review engineering design requirements for naval applications.

  • Conduct pre-qualification reviews of manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Participate in on-site supplier assessments.

About You
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
  • Knowledge of systems and technologies relevant to Australian shipbuilding.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to prioritize and set work standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in the Defence shipbuilding industry is advantageous.
