About the Role

The Associate Director, Project Management Office is a key leadership position within the Division of Information Technology at Charles Sturt University. This role is responsible for developing and providing leadership of high-quality project, portfolio, business process improvement, and business analysis services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice and support the governance of technology-related projects at Charles Sturt, including the support of its formal governance structures and committees.
  • Engage stakeholders within Charles Sturt to provide advice and support for their needs in line with the university's strategic outcomes.
  • Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team on various IT projects, driving business transformation and leading teams while pursuing a passion for project management.
Requirements
  • An in-depth understanding and extensive demonstrated experience in project management, business analysis, and business improvement frameworks, methodologies, and best practice.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven strong people management skills, including extensive experience in the management, recruitment, and development of teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience in analysing and optimising complex, enterprise business processes, securing measurable benefits.
