Petbarn Sales Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Petbarn in Palmerston. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including pet care and nutrition
  • Contribute to a positive store environment, including maintaining a clean and organized store
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs
  • Perform other duties as required, including lifting heavy items and working on weekends
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume retail environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to communicate with customers
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong merchandising skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to the care and well-being of pets
