Join Our Team as a Sales Assistant

Petbarn, a leading pet specialty retailer, is seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Sales Assistants. With over 220 locations across Australia and New Zealand, we offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where you can grow and develop your skills.

About the Role

We are looking for Sales Assistants who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a genuine love for pets. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a world-class shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they find the perfect products for their pets. You will work closely with our team to achieve sales targets, maintain store standards, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and making recommendations.
  • Process transactions, handle cash and credit sales, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain store standards, including visual merchandising, stock levels, and store cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and other tasks as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.Ability to lift heavy items, such as bags of dog food, and work in a physically demanding environment.At least 2 years of experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a pet-related industry.Strong merchandising skills, with the ability to create visually appealing displays and maintain store standards.Commitment to the care and well-being of pets, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.What We Offer
