Ranger Coordinator Garngi
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ranger Coordinator to join our team in Garngi. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the Garngi Ranger team, implementing their on-country work program, and conducting in-depth consultations with Traditional Owners to understand and prioritize their interests and goals for the Garngi work area.
About the Role- The position is responsible for working closely with CFC Program staff to ensure the integration of Traditional Owner insights and WH&S standards are at the forefront of all land and sea management activities.
- Based at the Garngi Ranger Station, this role leads and supervises the Garngi Ranger team and implements their on-country work program.
- The role requires strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural communication abilities.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management or another relevant field or extensive relevant and equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant supervisory experience leading a team.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal land and sea management issues, and opportunities and constraints affecting Aboriginal people's involvement.
- Previous experience in undertaking TO consultations in the development of land and sea management projects, ideally with Aboriginal people.
- NLC-provided accommodation for a comfortable and convenient living arrangement.
- A base salary of $84,985 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
