As part of our contract with the Australian Government Department of Defence, Ventia provide materiel maintenance support of land-based equipment for Joint Logistics Unit (JLU).
We are currently looking for a Stores Person to join our team at Robertson Barracks in Darwin, NT.
This role would see you conducting stores tasks, account management and stocktakes, ensuring they are competent and qualified within time frames specified in Work Orders to the required Work Standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructionsThe responsibilities of the position include;Receive, unload and inspecting od goodsStorage and organisation within store locationsPick, pack and prepare goods for order fulfilmentInventory management including participation in regular stocktakesOperating equipment such as forklift, pallet jack or other equipment for handling of goodsCommunicate with team members, suppliers and customersAdhere to all safety procedures and guidelinesEnsure competency skills and licences are maintained and attend appropriate trainingAssist with maintenance record keeping and documentationMaintaining housekeeping of stores areasSkills & ExperienceProficiency, relevant to the trade environment they will be working inDemonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalentForklift license can be obtained as part of onboarding for the right candidate.Possess a current Australian State or Territory open drivers licence for C - classes of vehiclesGood communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skillsWell-developed computer skills including SAP, Microsoft and Defence systems desirableThe incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
