About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel. As a key member of our legal division, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring that we operate within the bounds of the law and maintain a strong reputation for integrity and compliance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in employment law, industrial relations, and procedure, with a proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and support to business units. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear and concise advice that is easily understood by non-legal stakeholders.

You will work closely with our People and Culture team to advise and guide management on complex employment matters, including those requiring engagement with industrial tribunals and courts. You will also provide legal and strategic support in relation to the development of our employment frameworks and policies, including under the SBS Enterprise Agreement and other Modern Awards.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the media industry and has a strong desire to contribute to the success of SBS. You will be a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across the organization.
