About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network topology.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement network designs, best practices, and connectivity solutions that support our trading systems across North America and beyond. You will also manage network performance, risk, and capacity, while evaluating third-party network devices and solutions.

In addition, you will monitor network health and provide 24x7 support, as well as collaborate with technology and business teams to coordinate configuration changes and determine root-cause analysis. We troubleshoot issues that could include local/wide area networks, OSI Layer 1-3, wireless networks, and third-party vendor connections in a multi-vendor environment across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architectures that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and services.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and standards.
  • Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 support for network-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a similar technical major.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in WAN/LAN network support, specifically troubleshooting OSI Layer 1-3 problems, multicast, and routing protocols.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network hardware, local area networks, internet protocols, fiber and copper optics, Ethernet, 802.1 standards, low latency optimization, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience working with Arista Networks hardware and EOS/NX-OS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with third-party products such as Netbox/Nautobot, AWX/Ansible, Nagios, Prometheus, Atlassian suite, and VMWare is a plus.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Perl is preferred.
