Blood Bank Scientist

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a highly skilled Scientist to join our blood bank department in the Bowen Hills laboratory.
This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in a blood bank laboratory to work in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a range of routine and advanced blood bank tests
- Liaise with clients to ensure appropriate management of cases
- Remotely assist colleagues in regional laboratories to manage blood bank cases
- Uphold quality standards within the laboratory by adhering to departmental quality system procedures
- Comply with the occupational health and safety policy and programs to ensure personal health and safety, and the health and safety of others in the workplace
- Satisfy the requirements of customers, both internal and external, through the provision of reliable and efficient service levels
- With experience, opportunities will arise to assist management in local and corporate roles in areas including training, quality and education
To be considered for this position, you will be degree-qualified in Medical Laboratory Science or similar, with specific experience gained in transfusion.
You will have the demonstrated ability to work methodically and accurately, whilst prioritising your workload. You will be organised, have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team.
