Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Platform Infrastructure Team to develop on-premises and hybrid-cloud solutions.
  • Implement automation capabilities for common abstractions, tools, and CI/CD pipelines for the delivery of on-premises and Cloud Native applications.
  • Empower all development teams at Five9 with on-premises and Cloud Native developer workflows, offering developer training and toolsets for automated software delivery with an emphasis on scalability and high availability.
  • Design and construct secure, highly scalable, enterprise-grade platform services.
  • Clearly document and communicate architecture and implementation solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers, architects, testers, and development teams.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for the current Cloud platform in production.
  • Offer expertise in debugging and supporting production issues.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional DevOps or production operations experience.
  • 2+ years of Cloud Native application delivery experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD tools like GitLab, TeamCity.
  • In-depth knowledge of public cloud infrastructures (GCP - Preferred, AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency with core Cloud services such as compute, storage, network, virtualization, Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and building robust platforms using automation.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and runtimes.
  • Development experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Terraform, Java, etc.
  • Experience with current technology stack including Helm, Kubernetes, Istio, GCP, AWS, GKE, EKS, Terraform, SRE/DevOps practices, or equivalent.
  • DevOps mindset and understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles.
  • Some experience with at least one Cloud Provider automation tool.
  • Understanding of running mission-critical software in production.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively in an agile environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for On-Call duties.
