Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Spinal Injuries Unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the unit's goal of delivering exceptional healthcare outcomes.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have expertise in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with complex needs. You will work collaboratively with individuals and the broader healthcare team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.

You will be working in an 18-bed ward that provides a statewide service within NSW. Our patients present with complex needs across specialties including respiratory, gastroenterology, urology, fertility/sexuality, skeletal, and integumentary issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the broader healthcare team
  • Develop advanced skills in wound assessment, tracheostomy management, and ventilation
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
