The Risk, Safety and Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care at Calvary Central Districts Hospital. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning, while supporting compliance with the National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
Main Responsibilities- Promote and Engage with Staff: Foster a common understanding of the National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards and Clinical Trials Governance Framework among hospital staff.
- Lead Quality Improvement Program: Develop and implement a hospital-wide quality improvement program that integrates patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management in line with the strategic direction of the hospital.
- Support Leadership Team: Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and manage risks within the hospital, ensuring a proactive approach to mitigating potential threats.
- Registration and Qualifications: Possess registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Nurse and/or Midwife.
- Understanding of NSQHS Standards: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards and Clinical Trials Governance Framework.
- Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Possess knowledge of principles of quality improvement and risk management, with skills in investigation and report writing.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit high-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization.
