As a senior member of our engineering team, you'll help lead the evolution of our infrastructure as we scale. You'll work alongside existing SRE and platform engineers to design resilient systems, automate deployment processes, and refine our approach to monitoring and incident response.
- Design and implement robust infrastructure that scales with global usage
- Define and track service level objectives (SLOs), service level agreements (SLAs), and error budgets in partnership with product teams
- Improve and extend our on-call practices, observability tooling, and incident response systems
- Own our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) architecture and deployment pipelines, optimising for speed, safety, and team autonomy
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to eliminate bottlenecks and proactively identify systemic risks
- Champion best practices across engineering for fault tolerance, security, and performance
What does success look like? You've designed and implemented scalable infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of a growing user base. You've improved the overall reliability and performance of our platform, reducing downtime and errors. You've developed strong relationships with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and a culture of innovation.
What do you bring to the table? A proven track record of scaling systems in production environments, including experience with high-availability architectures. Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, with a keen eye for what matters. Strong experience with CI/CD systems, containerization, and cloud infrastructure (GCP and AWS preferred). Familiarity with defining and managing SLOs and SLAs across complex systems. A collaborative mindset, with a passion for mentoring and upskilling others. A strong sense of ownership and a bias toward continuous improvement.
