About the Role

The Caulfield Pain Management and Research Centre is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Allied Health Assistant Grade 2 to provide support and assistance to allied health clinicians who provide treatment to clients with chronic pain conditions.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for collecting, managing, processing, and submitting patient-specific data collection questionnaires electronically or in hardcopy. You will also make phone call consultations to clarify data and medications, create SMS reminders for patients, and monitor and report changes in patient health status to treating therapists or managers.

In addition, you will source, collate, maintain, and update resources required for data collection, document accurately in patient medical histories, and demonstrate a capacity to work flexibly and independently, providing feedback to supervisors regarding task completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting, managing, processing, and submitting patient-specific data collection questionnaires electronically or in hardcopy.
  • Making phone call consultations to clarify data and medications, and creating SMS reminders for patients.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in patient health status to treating therapists or managers.
  • Sourcing, collating, maintaining, and updating resources required for data collection.
  • Documenting accurately in patient medical histories.
  • Demonstrating a capacity to work flexibly and independently, and providing feedback to supervisors regarding task completion.

Requirements

  • Completion of Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance from a registered training organisation, or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Higher qualification in a relevant health science discipline at Diploma or Associate Diploma level.
  • Certificate level qualification in a relevant health-related field.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse - Division 2.
  • Overseas-trained Allied Health practitioner with a qualification at Diploma level or higher.
  • Allied Health undergraduate student in a relevant health science discipline, having successfully completed one year of study at minimum.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License (unrestricted).
