About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 3 Speech Pathologist to join our Community Rehabilitation team at Alfred Health. As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality client-centered rehabilitation services to clients in their homes and at our rehabilitation center. The clinical caseload is diverse, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop expertise in working with a broad range of clinical diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent client-centered rehabilitation services to clients in their homes and at our rehabilitation center.
  • Develop and implement innovative service models and programs in the provision of Speech Pathology services.
  • Provide professional leadership to Speech Pathology staff working within Community Rehabilitation Program, including involvement with service development and quality improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical expertise and knowledge within the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum seven years of clinical experience in Speech Pathology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Capacity to develop innovative service models and programs in the provision of Speech Pathology services.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level teaching, training, and supervision to staff and students.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in the areas of neurology and gerontology.
  • Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology.
  • Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Victorian drivers license.
