About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering Services team. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in engineering, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development. They will also support the Engineering Manager in providing engineering governance and oversight to ensure activities comply with the Engineering Management System.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering Services team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
- Assign tasks to team members and monitor their performance.
- Support the Engineering Manager in providing engineering governance and oversight.
- Monitor and report on engineering and configuration management metrics.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering with a significant component of Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience with specialised knowledge of technical or operational practices within engineering.
- Tertiary qualification and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated experience in decision making, planning and establishing goals with direct impact on operational results.
Desirable Skills
- Practical project management knowledge and experience.
- Experience using Defence engineering and configuration management processes.
- Knowledge of DASR, AAP ANSP.70(A) and ANSP.80(A) regulations.
- Expertise in obsolescence management and system requirements traceability tools.
