Key Engineering Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering services group. This multifaceted position involves maintaining program documentation, providing technical governance, and ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead a team comprising system safety engineers, senior logistics engineers, cybersecurity engineers, and configuration management specialists to achieve engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager to provide strategic oversight and guidance on engineering governance, ensuring activities align with the engineering management system.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational performance metrics (OPMs) to address potential issues before they impact contractual targets.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Hold a university degree in engineering with a significant component of electrical engineering.
  • Have at least 6 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices within engineering.
  • Possess tertiary qualifications and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as a chartered professional engineer with engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrate experience in decision-making, planning, and establishing goals with direct impact on operational results.
  • Exhibit excellence in time management, task prioritization, and ability to maintain stability of performance under pressure.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Practical project management knowledge and experience.
  • Experience using defence engineering and configuration management processes.
  • Knowledge of DASR, AAP ANSP.70(A), and ANSP.80(A) regulations.
  • Expertise in obsolescence management and system requirements traceability tools.
