The Bureau of Meteorology's Decision Support Services Program aims to provide critical services that impact the lives of all Australians every day.
We engage with customers to inform the development of our products and services, which includes supporting emergency management decision making through interpretation of our climate services, forecasts, warnings, and outlooks.
This role is responsible for managing a section focused on understanding and meeting customer needs within the Emergency Management sector.
Key responsibilities include leading a team focused on understanding priority needs through customer intelligence and managing external committees, analyzing EM and community sector interactions with our products and services to inform product design, and providing 7-day support to the National Emergency Management Agency.
RequirementsFor this role, you will need:
- Excellent leadership and project management skills
- A strong understanding of the Emergency Management sector and its key challenges
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
