Job Title: Skilled Intensive Care Unit Nurse

A position has become available for a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit at NSW Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality patient care, utilising best practice evidence and person-centred nursing principles.
  • Supervise and support less experienced clinicians to achieve quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective care.
Selection Criteria:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated competencies in complex nursing care and knowledge of multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for individualised care.
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate to deliver quality care.
  • Recent relevant clinical experience and ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.

Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination requirements apply. All new employees must comply with OASV requirements.

Requirements include being an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or having a valid visa to work in Australia.

NSW Health offers salary packaging, corporate health and fitness programs, superannuation, and annual leave loading.

Work will be based in Southern NSW Local Health District, covering a large area, including the Sapphire Coast region.
