Role Overview

This is a Mechanical (Fitter) apprenticeship opportunity at a leading defence company. The program aims to equip individuals with practical experience in shipbuilding while pursuing a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

As a Mechanical (Fitter) apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in the shipyard, working alongside experienced professionals. You will develop skills in removing, repairing and installing mechanical components and equipment, as well as participate in preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to work individually and collaboratively as part of a team. Initiative, problem-solving and adaptability are also essential qualities for this position.
