Job Description

This degree apprenticeship program combines academic studies with hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering. As an apprentice, you will work full-time alongside experienced engineers and participate in rotations through various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering applications.

Your day-to-day duties will include working on tasks as required to complete hybrid university courses, project work allocated by your supervisor/manager, performing discipline development activities using existing tools and procedures, and preparing engineering documentation such as specifications, test procedures, and engineering reports.

You will also have the opportunity to attend university classes and study, developing a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • a strong foundation in SACE stage two specialist mathematics or mathematical methods, or equivalent
  • knowledge of SACE stage two physics or equivalent
  • a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
