Senior Therapeutic Support Worker

About the role
Job SummaryThis is a deeply rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma, disrupted attachments, and high support needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of a small, close-knit therapeutic team, you will work intensively with carers and children to create lasting change. You will walk alongside young people as they navigate life's biggest challenges, helping them move toward healing, stability, and long-term permanency.
Requirements- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related discipline is essential.
- Training and experience in relevant child, adolescent and family practice and/or case management is preferred.
- Evidence of a well-developed understanding of Attachment and Trauma theories, the relationship to child abuse and neglect, together with an understanding of intellectual disability and an ability to assist others to understand the implications.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated skills in working with vulnerable children, young people, families in a trauma-informed way, including an understanding of NDIS and child protection system, including out of home care service system.
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

- A Valid and current Driver's Licence

- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles)
