**Job Description**

We are seeking a seasoned Nuclear Safety professional to join our team in delivering nuclear safety case programmes for defence platforms and infrastructure. With your expertise, you will play a critical role in connecting with global technical teams to deliver local nuclear safety case programmes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop strong relationships with AtkinsRéalis technical teams to leverage global experience locally
  • Collaborate with diverse customers and stakeholders to deliver nuclear safety case programmes
  • Contribute to the development of complex project proposals and participate in securing new business opportunities or expanding existing projects
  • Lead and provide support for nuclear safety case programmes, ensuring compliance with stakeholder requirements and timeframes
  • Support and conduct safety and hazard assessments on maritime / defence / platform systems
  • Identify and mitigate technical and project risks associated with nuclear safety case programmes

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience working in the nuclear industry
  • Experience with naval infrastructure and/or naval reactors
  • Experience with Defence infrastructure
  • Tertiary engineering qualification
  • Australian Government security clearance
  • Good understanding of the Australian government defence ecosystem
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
