Our client is a leading national supplier of galvanized steel to the construction industry, located in Hexham. They are seeking hard-working and reliable General Factory Labourers to join their team.

About the Role:

  • Ongoing work – Monday to Friday, with the potential for permanency
  • Day and Afternoon Shift available
  • Great working conditions
  • A long-term position for the right candidate

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Wiring steel products to jig in preparation for galvanizingGeneral factory dutiesDressing / Fettling of galvanised steel using grinders, hand files etcStrapping, packing steel ready for customer pick up / dispatchRepetitive movements and manual handling of steel

To be successful for this role you will need the following:

Be physically fit and have no movement or lifting restrictionsBe comfortable working with large scale machineryBe committed to full-time hoursHave good English speaking and comprehensionBe able to pass a drug and alcohol testBe safety-consciousHave a can-do attitude
