NEPEAN Conveyors(a division ofNEPEAN) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning for some of the world's largest mining companies. Established in 1985, it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation of conveyor installations.

To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Site Services team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design and manufacturing facility in Unanderra, NSW or closest NEPEAN office.

Daily duties will typically include:

• Represent NEPEAN Conveyors while engaged by our customers on their sites for site engineering activities.
• Preliminary engineering design and layout works for conveyors systems.
• Complete detailed drawings, general arrangements, schematics and/or sketches when required.
• Deliver audit reports and complete calculations for conveyor systems and related structures against the appropriate Australian or ISO standards.
• Undertake audits of customers fixed and mobile plant as directed.
• Innovate, scrutinise and economically optimise designs to achieve best value solution.
• Execute and manage document administration tasks including issue of documents, drawings, reports and revision control when required.
• Monitor and control the schedule, budget, and quality of work that is assigned to you and/or your team.
• Undertake investigation for field related issues or improvement opportunities
• Work with and support our engaged third-party contractors
• Undertake commissioning activities when required
• Seek new opportunities to support growth of the site service business

The ideal candidate for this position would have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar role, ideally in bulk material handling background or heavy industrial/mining industry
• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering and Drafting.
• Full Driver License (Class C)
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor and Vault.
• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in a Mechanical discipline
