Job Title: Logistics Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Team Manager to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the logistics team in driving innovation and execution in transportation networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Manage daily department duties, including attendance tracking and workflow management.
  • Assist the Operations Shift Manager as required, deputizing when necessary.
  • Conduct regular debriefs with staff and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assign work to staff as needed to support workflow and daily metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager to ensure sufficient resourcing for the function, including training needs, absence management, performance coaching, and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
  • Train new associates to equip them with necessary knowledge to perform tasks effectively.
  • Monitor and report hours and schedules for associates.
  • Solve process-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure high-quality equipment defect reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing teams.
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in logistics.
  • Data analysis skills.
