Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Draftsperson to join our engineering consulting firm in Western Australia. This role offers excellent industry exposure, specialist experience and flexible work arrangements.

Main Responsibilities
  • The production of technical drawings, MTOs, lists, 2D and 3D models across various disciplines under limited supervision is a key responsibility of this position.
  • The draftsperson will be required to develop drawings from engineers' sketches with minimal input.
  • This role involves document control activities, including clash detection of design models against as-built models.
  • Junior team members will also be trained by the successful candidate.
Requirements & Competencies
  • Australia Work Authorisation is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Fitness for purpose formal training and/or qualification in Drafting consistent with a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or equivalent) is expected.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with CAD software is necessary.
  • Previous experience in mechanical/pipeline drafting, including 2D and 3D modelling for slurry, water, waste, mineral processing and/or oil and gas is highly desirable.
  • Prior work experience in a supervisory capacity would be advantageous.
  • Intermediate to sound computer literacy skills, including MS Office package are essential.
  • Sound attention to detail/organisational skills are crucial for success in this role.
