Design Drafter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our design group, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed designs using AutoCAD software.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Civil Drafting or Engineering and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. You will possess excellent verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage strict deadlines.

You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations. Your expertise in AutoCAD and other design packages such as 12d and/or MicroStation will be invaluable to our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain corporate documentation standards and procedures.
  • Create high-quality detail drawings using engineering designs and advanced knowledge of design, modelling, and drafting principles.
  • Ensure consistent application of client standards across all relevant projects.
  • Collaborate on multi-discipline projects for seamless integration through tools and systems.
  • Maintain internal client relationships, deliver project results, and communicate clearly, even during difficult conversations.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Civil Drafting or Engineering from a recognized training center (RTO).
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role (consulting industry preferred).
  • Developed knowledge of civil drafting and design principles used in producing final documentation.
  • Solid understanding of AutoCAD design software.
  • Experience in other design packages such as 12d and/or MicroStation desirable.
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills and a proven attention to detail.
