Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles as per repair order instructions within the service department. A key focus area will be promoting customer satisfaction to the required dealer standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform work as per the repair order instructions.
  • Advise of any additional work required to the workshop foreman.
  • Document all work performed, including cause and correction, and recommend any work not carried out during service and repair.
  • Ensure the customer vehicle is left as they found it, including cleanliness, movement of the seat, radio, Bluetooth, and mirror adjustments.
  • Supervise apprentices assigned to the role.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and report any safety or equipment issues to management immediately.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, with a professional approach and ability to work under pressure. Organizational and time management skills are also crucial for success.

Requirements:
  • Trade Certificate.
  • Drivers' Licenses equivalent to the role (car, light-duty, truck, and agriculture).
  • Technical knowledge relevant to the qualification specifications.
  • Customer service focus, committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels.
  • Effective communication, varying style depending on the audience.
  • Attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others.
  • Teamwork: willing to assist and support others as required.
  • Time management and organization: accomplish objectives effectively within the given timeframe.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $65,000-$90,000 per annum, based on industry standards for similar roles in the region. This is a full-time opportunity that offers the chance to grow professionally within a successful business.
