About the Position

This Clinical Nurse Consultant role contributes to clinical trial research as part of a broader diabetes research team with a focus on type one diabetes and device technology in the Diabetes Technology Research Group (D.T.R.G). The appointee will be responsible for protocol implementation at site, including participant education and insulin titration with multiple diabetes technology devices and CGM specific to t1d management.

The incumbent will liaise with Principal Investigators at the site, deliver accurate, compliant data entry and work in a multidisciplinary, internationally recognised, professional team skilled in the implementation of diabetes focused clinical protocols. They will also work with people who live with diabetes, demonstrating high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise and work across all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with Principal Investigators at the site to implement clinical trial research
  • Delivering accurate and compliant data entry
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team to implement diabetes focused clinical protocols
  • Collaborating with individuals living with diabetes to educate them on various aspects of health technologies
  • Maintaining high level attention to detail and problem solving skills to exercise judgement and initiative while achieving outcomes

Requirements

  • A degree with substantial relevant experience or extensive experience and management expertise in nursing
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise workloads, work well under pressure autonomously and organise own work and others to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with working knowledge of hospital platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop staff to achieve optimal performance

We offer competitive salary ranges starting at $107,962.00 - $113,646.00 per annum + Salary sacrifice, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is subject to mandatory immunisations/vaccinations and Victorian government directions regarding vaccination against COVID-19.
