Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credentialed Diabetes Nurse Educator to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to clinical trial research in diabetes technology. You will be working within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with professionals skilled in implementing diabetes-focused clinical protocols.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Principal Investigator at the site to lead protocol implementation, including participant education and insulin titration with multiple diabetes technology devices and CGM specific to type 1 diabetes management.
  • Deliver accurate and compliant data entry while maintaining high-level attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • A degree with substantial relevant experience or extensive experience and management expertise in nursing.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise and work across all levels of the organization.
  • Practical knowledge of diabetes insulin pump technology and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) across multiple industry platforms.
  • Experience in educating people with diabetes on health technologies and managing clinical trials.
  • Current GCP certification and sound understanding of Good Clinical Practice principles.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hospital-specific platforms.
