Nursing Professionals Wanted

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our dynamic Residential Care team at Southern Cross Care.
Key Responsibilities- Promote independence and assist residents in regaining confidence and engaging in meaningful activities.
- Collaborate with staff and qualified practitioners to provide person-centered service and support that is safe and effective.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to reporting staff on each shift.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled or registered nursing practice.
- Report any potential risks that could cause accidents or injuries.
- Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.
We are looking for individuals who will make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Preferred candidates will have 1-2 years of experience working as an Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment.
- Strong communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to communicate effectively with older people.
- The ability to read written instructions and write clearly and concisely, particularly in progress notes.
- Exceptional time management skills to manage your workload and meet deadlines.
- A high level of understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviors.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, particularly as they relate to accreditation.
