Duty Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Front Office team as a Duty Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations within the department.

The primary role of the Duty Manager is to:

  • Lead shifts in the Front Office department;
  • Provide guidance and support to all employees to ensure excellent guest service;
  • Monitor training and offer guidance to employees while on shift;
  • Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues;
  • Ensure the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and associates.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests, adhering to all procedures;
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests, being proactive and resourceful;
  • Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive;
  • Have the necessary skills and training to actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by customers;
  • Provide guidance, support, training, and leadership to all employees;
  • Monitor training and offer guidance to employees while on shift;
  • Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues;
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and associates.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Previous front office experience at a supervisory level;
  • Proven experience in Opera, GXP, and system-oriented software;
  • Proven customer service, communication, and personal presentation skills;
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and public holidays;
  • The ability to hold a QLD Responsible Management of Licensed Venues and Approved Managers License.
