About the Role

The position will be working in the Business Enablement Team, CIO Branch of the Department. Whilst the projects are ICT in nature the project managers role is more business focussed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Definition and management of project deliverables, schedule, benefits, financials, risks, issues and dependencies, including liaison with relevant suppliers, in alignment with the Departments Project Management Framework
  • Delivery of Projects: Delivery of project outcomes within schedule, financial and quality parameters, contributing to the overarching program outcomes and objectives
  • Team Leadership: Leading and managing the project team including reviewing and the work of other project team members and suppliers and otherwise ensuring that appropriate standards are applied to the project's outputs
  • Business Change Management: Managing business change and implementation activities including user acceptance and business verification testing, change, training and communications activities and rollout planning and execution
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Reporting: Preparing regular project status reports and presenting status reports to the project board and other executive stakeholders
About the Salary

The successful candidate will be offered an EL1 hourly rate contract, notionally a 12 month opportunity, with view to extend. The estimated salary for this position is approximately $120-$150 per hour, based on the location in Canberra and the experience required.
