Job Opportunity for Medical Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join our healthcare team. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary practice, you will play a key role in ensuring veterans receive timely and accessible healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming referrals via online forms, phone calls, and emails
  • Triage patients into the most appropriate treatment pathway and conduct eligibility checks
  • Coordinate consultations with doctors, nurses, and specialists, ensuring accuracy and clear communication with patients
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and refine healthcare protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of patient onboarding steps and documentation in Best Practice software
  • Provide proactive follow-up to minimize lost leads and ensure timely access to care
  • Produce regular reports on onboarding activities and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, privacy, and healthcare standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrator, or in a healthcare/veteran-focused setting
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices
  • Proficiency in Best Practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
