Local Government Enforcement Specialist

Description:
Peak Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Local Laws Officer. This position is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community while enjoying a balance of urban and remote work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enforce local, state, and federal laws, conduct inspections, and address compliance issues
* Engage with the community, providing education on regulations and fostering positive relationships with residents and stakeholders
* Investigate and respond to reported breaches of local laws, including animal control, noise, and vegetation issues
* Issue fines and infringement notices for non-compliance and manage daily activities within the Local Laws and Animal Management Program
Requirements:
* A proactive communicator with a strong commitment to community engagement
* Skilled in managing disputes diplomatically, especially in compliance and enforcement contexts
* Ability to operate autonomously, managing daily tasks and making informed decisions with minimal supervision
* Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws, especially in animal control, pest management, and community regulations
* Current Class C Driver's Licence
* Category A Firearms Licence with experience in safe firearm use for animal management
* Current Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) Licence
* ASIC Card
* Current vaccines for Q Fever, Rabies, Hep A and B, and Tetanus
