Job Title: Commercial Contract Specialist

The key responsibility involves collaborating with senior management to identify opportunities for contract improvement and modification.

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts that are legally binding between parties.
  • Establishing contract terms and conditions, including service levels, fees, and financial obligations.
  • Liaising with external legal practitioners and departments to ensure deadlines and requirements of the contract are met.
  • Undertaking contract analysis and providing advice to the business.
  • Creating and revising contracts, which may include preparing documents for tender, negotiation of agreements with customers or suppliers, and conducting research on relevant industry topics.
  • Negotiating contracts with companies or individuals in accordance with legislation.
  • Monitoring and advising on compliance with contractual obligations, including revisions to existing contracts.
  • Communicating changes in the business's legal obligations to internal personnel.

Regular day-to-day activities for a Contracts Administrator include:

  • Updating contract management software, including new draft contracts.
  • Arranging contracts with suppliers, customers, or external parties.
  • Sourcing, reviewing, and revising documentation according to business needs.
  • Preparing or revising legal agreements based on business requirements.
  • Coordinating with external organisations regarding changes to contractual obligations.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years full-time experience in contract administration.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
