Salary and Benefits

As a Spiritual Care Specialist at Uniting AgeWell Strathdon, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also enjoy above award hourly rates, salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 annually, annual leave loading, and comprehensive employee assistance programs.

About the Role

Our Chaplains work as integral members of the interdisciplinary care team, contributing to the holistic care model at leadership level. As a UA Chaplain, you will provide individual spiritual and emotional care for residents and their families, lead worship, connect with spiritual leaders from various faith backgrounds, and offer guidance and education to staff on spiritual care. You will also participate in key meetings and collaborate with the chaplaincy network.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent training and experience in pastoral care
  • Formal theological qualification/s preferred
  • An ability to identify, assess, and provide for the emotional, spiritual, and religious needs of residents, in line with the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and UA Spirituality Framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check card
