About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advisor to join our Regulation & Assurance team, focusing on generator connection studies. This role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical projects related to generator connection studies and regulation and access projects.
  • Contribute to proposal development and opportunity-related pursuits.
  • Support the development of tools and systems for efficient delivery of generator connection studies and analysis advice.
  • Collaborate with Technical Directors and Advisors to shape service offerings and form relationships with potential clients.
  • Perform power system modelling and analysis, load flow studies, fault studies, transient stability, and voltage stability analysis.
  • Contribute to projects across the broader advisory business as required.
  • Support other advisory teams with infrastructure-related investment advice, operating decisions, and power systems projects and proposals.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in electrical engineering or power systems.
  • Knowledge of fundamental grid connection studies and power system analysis concepts.
  • Curiosity and a passion for growth and challenge.
  • Software experience with PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, Simulink, Python, and Matlab.
  • Client-centric approach with a focus on prioritizing client needs.
  • Understanding of the generator connection process in the NEM.
  • Passion for career growth within a consultative environment.
