Nurse Care Specialist


Description

This role requires a skilled nurse to provide comprehensive support and care to individuals in need. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will work closely with participants to develop personalized health plans, providing holistic support throughout their journey.

You will be responsible for conducting clinical observations, including withdrawal assessment using relevant tools, and providing low-medical support such as medication administration and basic wound care. Your expertise in triage, medical assessment, decision making, and crisis intervention will be crucial in this role.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Nursing and a current Div 1 certificate. Practical experience in AOD sector service delivery is essential, along with an understanding of addictive behavior and drugs. You must also be able to work a rotating roster of morning, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and weekdays.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting clinical observations and withdrawal assessments
  • Providing low-medical support, including medication administration and basic wound care
  • Developing health-related treatment plans in collaboration with participants and the team
  • Providing trauma-informed, person-centered care to individuals with complex trauma histories

Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing and current Div 1 certificate
  • Practical experience in AOD sector service delivery
  • Skills in triage, medical assessment, decision making, and crisis intervention
  • Competent computer skills to use Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to work a rotating roster and be on call when scheduled
