Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Health Psychologist to join our Medical Obesity and Bariatric Surgery teams. As a senior member of our department, you will be responsible for providing psychological assessment and treatment to patients of the Medical Obesity clinic, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapies to promote weight loss and improve overall health outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement multidisciplinary care plans
  • Supervise junior staff members and students, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure excellent patient care
  • Contribute to research activities and professional development initiatives within the department

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Health Psychology
  • Registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009
  • Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Health Psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009
  • Approved Psychology Board of Australia Supervisor certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Health Psychologist
  • Australian working rights and full Covid-19 vaccination
