Role Overview
  • Act as a strategic partner to the hotel leadership team, driving financial performance for the hotel and food & beverage outlets.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and presentation of all financial data submitted to the General Manager, Accor, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the punctual and precise completion of all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage all matters related to Management Agreements and Owners Corporation with efficiency and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish effective strategies that enhance departmental profitability.
  • Provide all departments with timely and accurate statistical information.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to offer financial insights and support as needed.
  • Develop and oversee all financial systems within the hotel, aiming to improve and streamline operational procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures set forth by Accor, maintaining effective internal controls.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training and knowledge transfer regarding all hotel systems and compliance requirements.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of employment instruments, HMA, and other compliance documentation.
  • Provide strategic oversight across all operational dimensions, actively engaging in daily operations.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Familiarity with state and federal legislation concerning tax, superannuation, long service leave, and National Employment Standards.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the hospitality sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with financial accounting principles and statutory obligations.
