**Job Summary

The Vetting Officer provides administrative support to the vetting team and handles routine enquiries from customers.

**Key Responsibilities

  • Review and categorize Port State Control, Incident, and Terminal reports.
  • Provide feedback on report data, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the vetting database.
  • Manage routine vetting enquiries from external parties.
  • E nsure accuracy and data validation in records maintained and tasks undertaken within the Platform.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Mandatory: Master or Chief Engineer certificate of competency and 5+ years of senior sailing experience on international trading vessels.
  • Desirable: tanker background, incident investigation training, and experience as a Safety Officer.
  • Practical knowledge of ship construction, structures, machinery, operations, chartering, and safety management systems.
  • Good understanding of ship surveys, certification, and international legislation relevant to shipping.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
