**Job Summary**
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, extraction, analysis and reporting of clinical data for the Renal Services in South West Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD).
As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renal services through informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data systems, including database design and maintenance, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee data development, extraction, analysis and reporting to support Renal Services in SWSLHD.
- Manage the renal and transplant unit database and the ANZDATA registry.
- Develop and deliver education programs involving renal data management.
- Initiate data management investigations and solution development.
- Ensure processes are supported with well-documented standard operating procedures, policy frameworks, data dictionaries and coding standards.
- Assist senior staff in the preparation of reports/presentations and collection/reporting of clinical activity information.

**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced computer skills to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data using software MS Access, MS Excel and statistical packages.
- A high level of technical expertise and experience in data systems, including database design and maintenance.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, delegation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of data security and information privacy in a healthcare setting.
